Cultivation
Using organic-dynamic methods, our partner Alkena produces silk in the Chinese province of Sichuan. The mulberry bushes aren’t planted as a monoculture; rather, they are planted with some 5,000 varieties of fruit and other trees. This organic cultivation goes hand-in-hand with fair trade.
